ATPP exhibition - Siblings' Love

Drew my fingers in a peace sign (letter v) during the 4th lesson of "Drawing from the Right Side of the Brain" lesson and decided to add on to it for the exhibition....roped in the 3As... =)

Title: Siblings' Love
“The hand which held the rest is the smallest of them all… I have aged”

This is the most emo piece of artwork.... i din expect it to be so emo for me... i was so emo that i had tears in my eyes even when i shared about how emo i was when i was doing this piece of art work with my science department teachers during checked in last week....

my 弟弟s 妹妹 have all grown up liao... their hands are no longer the tiny, cute, smooth, squashy ones which i held years ago.....

anyway, close up of the individual pieces
Angela's
lanky and very smooth hands she has...

Alfred's
the hand which i held the most as i was tasked to fetch him home from kindergarten everyday during my sec sch days.... can't believe that tiny hand of yesteryears has developed into a man's hand liao... so huge and so rough

mine
the smallest of them all with short and plump fingers... =S

Alvin's
even the youngest of the lot has difficulty squeezing his fingers into the view finder.... =S

How i wish this piece of artwork can be counted as 4 pieces of drawing..... wahahaha.... like that then i would have hit the quota for the number of 2D artwork for the exhibition liao oh... =P

first stop - Grand Aquarium
resting stingrays & reef sharks

sleepy giant octopus

lazing stonefish

many many milkfish.... very sad life they have..... they could only swim round and round in this column of water....

stoning spider crabs

amazing view

saw these cute little elves just outside the grand aquarium.... thought they were here for a learning journey but no no no....

we followed them and found them getting ready for the xmas performance

aren't they super cute????

Next stop:

both panda, jia jia & an an were sleeping soundly in their enclosure

There were another 2 pandas sleeping in another enclosure (panda village) about 5 minutes walk away

Basically, animals just like to sleep .... i guess they are just bored....

timing was right when we were done with the pandas so we went to watch the sea lion show

us waiting for the show to start

sing along session ....see how huge the sea lion was relative to the boy....

took the cable car to the other side of the mountain to continue our ocean park adventure... =)

the view behind us

the view in front of us.... see the red & yellow roller coaster.... it's called the Hair Raiser, one of the 3 roller coaster rides in ocean park.... only for the dare-devils.... not us... =P

A weekend to Batam with Joyce

accepted joyce's invitation to batam for a massage holiday at only $99 per pax... thought it was a super nua holiday with massage, nuaing by the pool side or coffee place but kenna cheated la....

first, we have to meet at vivo at 630am which means i need to wake up at 530am .... =S....

then upon arriving in batam at 930am local time, we only managed to check in at 5pm lo.... cos included in the package was a full day city tour.... the tour guide brought us batam 走透透.... we went to kueh lapis shop, polo ralph shop, chocolate shop, dried food shop and some others which i cant really recall.... just remembered we kept boarding and alighting the bus.... i hate city tour... =S

thankfully, the massage was good.... =) .... so good that i gave my massage therapist S$5 tip ... =)

anyway, we stayed in Pacific Palace Hotel

i wasn't feeling too well so din really explore the place but it's really not bad... at least the $8.50 tim sum buffet we had for dinner was worth it .... =)

our room
very spacious.... i like.... just dun like double bed.... but also thanks to the double bed.... watching "推理要在晚餐后" was not that scary with joyce sleeping just beside me.... heee

we were bought to the shopping centre next to batam centre terminal to shop for the rest of the whole afternoon before taking the ferry home.... but we ended up slacking at jco donut

donuts were so yummy that i lugged a dozen home.... heee
