my first gym membership with True Fitness

losing my flabbiness through exercising more has been one of my yearly resolutions since i stop having to attend PE lessons or dance CCA in school (which is like at least 16 years ago?!?!?!)

but it always didnt last more than 2 months every year..... be it going to the gym with chunyang back in woodlands, night jogs with mr ang at the track, attending zumba classes with mab at the community centres or simply dancing to zumba videos at home... =P

i totally gave up on losing my flabbiness through exercising last year and focus on eating less carbo, especially at dinner time, instead....

this was until mr ang signed up for gym membership with True Fitness @ AMK in his attempt to get back his 6 pac which had gone missing since he started work last June.... and lady luck was shinning on him as there was a CNY promo of $500 discount on top of the 6 months free membership when he signed up for the 3 year package... average out to only $61 per month for unlimited classes for the next 3.5 years, that's about $15 per week... =)

he is definitely making his membership super worth it by turning up at the gym every morning for a run and some simple gym after dropping me off at school...

and so i signed up too cos mr ang agreed to go for classes with me on every Monday, Thursday and Saturday (whenever possible)... =) .... hurray to couple time...both of us are rather intrigued by this idea of attending classes together... heee

and i was also drawn to the steam room available too... =D

received a stack of vouchers upon signed up and i am only interested in the $20 reebok voucher .... so if any of you want the rest of the vouchers, do let me know... i can mail them to you... expiry date september 2015....

another freebie for signing up is this travel toiletry bag which i am using as my pencil case in school...

love the huge compartments... one side for markers and writing materials, the other one for all the arty stuff like stick glue, white glue, scissors, scotch-tapes, stapler, blu tac, penknife, scissors and the small one for stickers and erasers... =)

and since it was a referral, mr ang got himself a $100 cash cheque from True Fitness which he used to buy me my very first set of gym attire... =)

in the mean time, i would be wearing this attire under my usual dry fit t-shirt and air force shorts to attend classes.... hope the confidence in walking around in this set of body fitting clothing will come back after a few months of hard work bah.... =S

bought myself a new pair of sport shoes as the old one decided to call it quit in January after staying in the 冷宫 for the past year... =P

had attended our first Hot Pilate class this evening with Mr Ang and both of us like it much much.... will be attending the Body Attack class this Saturday... hopefully this "hardworking" attitude can stay throughout the 3.5 years.... =)

Hi Samantha,

I only go to the branch at Djitsun Mall @ AMK. You can view the schedule here (http://www.truefitness.com.sg/classes/schedules). My personal favourite class is the body attack class on Saturday at 4pm, conducted by Heather... this is the only class that my hubby attends and he will make sure that i attend it whenever possible....

Heather (the instructor) is really good + friendly + funny = make the class interesting enough for me to attend it even after a year of signing up for the membership... it's an achievement cos i NEVER like exercising. i totally enjoy her class although her lessons always make my butt and legs ache like crazy... =P

other classes that i had tried were piloxing and zumba... both are fun too but because my hubby dosent attend these classes with me (too gu liang for him, he said), i lost the motivation to attend after a while.... i am the kind who need kakis to do stuff tog...

I did not lose a lot of weight as i am not disciplined enough to go for enough classes...once a week body attack class is definitely not enough to burn all the food and bubble tea i take in... oopx.... but my hubby did.... he used the gym every other day on top of the body attack class on sat...

anyway, just signing up for gym will not guarantee weight loss.... what guarantee weight loss is to have the discipline to attend many many classes.... so if u have, u will definitely lose weight...

cheers!!!
