S.O.T.A electric cooker cum lunch box from 洪 mama

as much as i luv the late reporting time at 7.40am everyday in my current school, i guess being an art specialist here comes at a price of not having sufficient time to have a proper lunch due to our super packed timetable....

makes me wonder.... are all art, music and PE specialists in every school working with similar timetable too? so poor thing leh.... ='(

as seen in my timetable above, i am given pockets of 1 free period of 30 minutes each throughout the day so why am i commenting that i do not have sufficient time for lunch....

let's take for example - Tuesday;

- i do not have the habit of eating breakfast as breakfast gives me the urge to visit the toilet for an extended period of time which i do not have the luxury to have in school and hence i am unable to fill my tummy during the free period from 9 am to 10 am....

- class ends at 11 am, by the time i reached the staff room at level 3, it's at least 11.05 am and with the next class starting at 11.30 am, it means i need to get ready all my art materials and be ready for the next two classes which are back to back of each other by 11.25 am.... with the remaining 20 minutes in between, i find it too rush and too tiring to walk down to the canteen at level 1, purchase a bowl of food and to consume it at a normal pace before heading back to level 3 to collect my stuff for the next class... =S

- school ends at 1.30 pm.... by the time i lead the class to the main gate for dismissal and be back at my seat, it would be at least 1.40 pm.... before i can even take my breather for having survived 2 hours of energetic kids during their art lessons, i need to make my way to the hall at 1.55 pm to lead the CCA pupils to the art room so that their art session can start punctually at 2 pm... session end at 4 pm....

- my first official proper meal will be at 4.30 pm every Tuesday ... that's provided that i leave the school immediately after i dismiss the CCA pupils...

the same goes for Wednesdays where my first proper meal for the day will be at 4 pm and that's also assuming that i leave school right after dismissal....

Mondays and Fridays are my favourite days eventhough school also ends at 3 pm and 430 pm respectively just cos Mr Tay will drive most of us out to buy lunch at the nearest coffee shop which is a 10 minute walk away....

i know it's a constraint to the timetable planning team and also to the specialists deploying department in HQ to ensure that all school have enough specialists but i feel that it's only humane to ensure that all staff are given one hour (2 consecutive free periods) for lunch on small group teaching days, CCA days and any long days that requires staff to stay beyond the official 1.30 pm, and that makes up 80% of the week ....cant something be done to divide the 100+ teachers to have lunch at 11am-12nn, 1130am-1230pm, 12nn-1pm or 1230pm to 130pm .... no?!?!?!?!

anyway, situation is so bad that i have been munching off biscuits and cup noodles during the pockets of 20 minutes after 11am every work day.... was telling 洪 mama about it one night and sharing with her that i might be increasing my vareity of snacks to cereal and milk from the following week onwards....

and she surprised me with a pink electric lunch box the very next day... it's actually a mini cooker that cooks food in super small quantity for one pax and keeps them warm.... =)

it can be a one tier for 1 dish

2 tiers for 2 dishes

or 3 tiers for 3 dishes

u know the warm warm fuzy fuzy feeling when someone is so sweet to you... well, i felt it lots lots....

there wasn't a reason to know about the existence of such technology until now but it's never too late.... looking forward to having proper meal in school soon... =)

shall rely on wai wai to prepare the food for me in the morning then i can keep it warm at my desk... wooo.....

happi tummy = happi Ms Candy... =D
