Day 4 of Seoul - Insadong: Ssamziegil, Hanbok experience & Jogyesa Temple

Exit 6 of Anguk station... asked for an Insadong map at the tourists information counter just 10-20m outside this exit and getting to the 4 places on our morning itinerary was a piece of cake thereafter... =D

first stop: Porridge for breakfast @ Bonjuk

quite a huge variety of porridge to choose from and each serving is HUGE.... recommend for 2 to share a set or minimum, 3 to share 2 sets...

洪爸爸 had oyster with mushroom porridge , both 洪妈妈 and Mr Ang had abalone porridge while i had crab porridge... (38000 won = S$44.45)

very yummy and very ideal breakfast choice for the cold cold morning... =D

second stop: Ssamziegil

a 5 minute walk down the same stretch of road, we reached Ssamziegil

which is famous for its arrangement of craft shops in a spiral manner

adorable poo snack on the first level which failed to capture the attention of Mr Ang...

the elder Mr Ang with a soft serve and the younger Mr Ang with his ang mo version of hot kopi o kosong (Americano)

verdict: one of my least favourite place on the trip... =P ... nothing caught my eye... each and every of the shop was too small for my liking... not suitable for my style of shopping....

third stop: Hanbok experience @ Insadong PR Centre

across the road just outside the Ssamziegil building, down an alley,   is the Insadong PR Centre
photo from wonderfultravels.blogspot.com... i was so excited that i forgot to take a pic of the place... =P
where we paid 3000 won (S$3.50) each for a 20 minutes hanbok experience ... we were very lucky that we arrived just when the group of 10 Japanese tourists ended their 20 minutes block... =D

look at the variety that we could choose from!!!!! and my Mr Ang had to choose one that made him look like a 庸王... or maybe it's just his face.... wahahahahaha

洪爸爸 and 洪妈妈 looked so much better in the hanbok than us...

fourth stop: Jogyesa Temple

another 5 minutes walk and we reached the temple which i had wanted to arrange a temple stay but timing dah match la... they only have weekend program which starts at 2pm on Saturdays and ends at 11am on Sundays... technically, we were in Korea for 2 Saturdays but we had arrived late on the first Sat and was to leave on the next Saturday... =S
