Bleached my hair just so as to dye it blue using the 7 day hair dye which Angela bought for me...

not daring enough to let the bleach set for too long resulting in my hair became this goldenish - lian colour.... =S

then i added the 7 day blue hair dye ... was super excited during the wait... finally can have a whole head of blue hair ... or so i thought....
as an art teacher, how can i forget that yellow (bleach) + blue = green...

i ended up with ash green hair for the next few days.... =S

Day 9 in Taiwan - Underground Mall @ Taipei Main Station & EZ5

老蔡司机 picked us up for breakfast @ his favourite mee suan shop

and i totally agree that this won 阿宗麵線 many many times over....

He dropped us off at Taipei Main Station where we went to the highly recommended 香帥 for its taro roll.... heavenly... a must try... so sad that we couldn't lug it back to Singapore as it needs to be refrigerated within 6 hours.. =S

the taro cake was so good that it got me hooked onto taro products... had taro ice-cream @ swensen and taro cake at craftsmen since we were back....

as it was still early at 10am, most of the shops were not opened yet so we headed back to our apartment ....

chanced upon a curtain shop that was selling Japanese door curtains at only NT$100 (S$4.50) so bought for our bedroom toilet door... =)

lunch was at the korean restaurant near our apartment....

our personal chef ensuring that all 8 pieces of meat were grilled to perfection

there were 8 flavours but i could only remember 4; curry, wasabi, ginseng, garlic... =S

army stew ... perfect for a rainy afternoon... =D

late afternoon was spent shopping at Taipei Underground Mall ... a lot of cute stuff at affordable prices that i wanna buy but my logic brain kept questioning who can i give them to.... made me put back so many items in my shopping basket... argh...

but still managed to buy these for the gals around me... =D

Dinner was a simple affair at one of the ramen shops

before we made our way to EZ 5 ... a must visit place for Mr Ang whenever he's in Taipei

NT$1000/pax with a choice of snacks & 2 free drinks

the 3 singers for the night @ 9.45pm, 10.45pm and 11.45pm were all finalists from the various seasons of 超级星光大道 oh...

had a great night listening to the songs and chit chatting with the angs.... and with this, our 10 days Taiwan trip came to an end.... =)

Day 8 in Taiwan - Songshan Cultural & Creative Park (松山文創園區)

550m walk from Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hall MTR station, exit 5

It's an old tobacco factory  revamped into an art space

tape + hammer

= tape dot art

OMG!!! so sad....

my favourite piece.... a chart that suggests 31 ways to show kindness... a great way to teach the kiddos or to remind ourselves to 日行一善.... =D

bought this bag of natural mosquito repellent for lene who was visiting Taiwan 2 weeks after us....

what used to be tobacco warehouses are now exhibition halls

had fun identifying the switches that were connected...

doodles that framed the negative space

my favourite piece from this gallery ... i named it the 蘑菇🍄妹顶大地...

was having so much fun browsing from one gallery to the next that i forgot about all the other Angs then lo and behold... Hubby started displaying his hunger tactics.... a hungry Ang is an angry Ang so off to Ximending we went to have lunch at 洪妈妈's favourite 滷肉饭 place

nothing much to do at Ximending and we left within an hour.... but that didnt stop hubby ang from scoring another 战利品... =)

Went back to our apartment to a late afternoon break
it was really cute watching these 2 bro exercising with whatever resources they found around the house... they even found a public gym and stadium near our apartment and visited it twice during our 4 nights stay in Taipei...

found a Hong Kong cafe near our apartment for dinner

succulent prawns with QQ noodles for me

yummy 流沙包 in fried version

ended the night in the supermarket ... nothing much to buy de... why so different from the supermarkets in Japan and Korea???....

bought these for our wardrobe

saw this and thought of MX so must buy for her... =D
